On April 1, 2009 my life forever changed. What an amazing Journey this has been. Miracles do happen, thank god everyday you have a heart beat. I was fine one minute and the next I went into Sudden Cardiac Death. (This all happened within 6 minute's). I was without a heartbeat for 57 minute's and was shocked 21 time's. Thank god someone got to me to help. Since I have been recovering from this massive heart attack it has been differcult. When I came home I fell into a deep depression (I have never had a heart issue or depression before in my life) I was scared it would happen again, I wasn't able to sleep and very tried. Stressed over all the medical bills , home bills, not having a job any more and still didn't really understand the full effects of what happened to me. I have come along way, my sprit's are so much higher. I have always looked for the positive's in life. So with my negitive, I'm turning it positive by going into high schools and telling my story to teenagers. It is my pleasure to hopefully bring awareness to people on how important it is to learn CPR. I know we can save life's, like mine was.
I am hoping in sharing my story with the world and doing interview's in which I don't get paid for, that it brings awareness to what can happen. I believe everyone should know CPR and every public place should have a AED (Automated External Defibrillator).
If there is a company willing to hire me, I am looking for a job. I have always worked with kids or drove a school bus. A desk job at this point would be wonderful. I don't have alot of computer skills, but I am a fast learner.
I have looked and applied for many jobs, but the question (have you been hospitalized in the last 12 months), seems to stop everything. I have been told I am a huge insurance risk to a company. VERY SAD huh. I have my own health insurance. (THANK GOD). I just need to get a job, so I can move forward with my life and pay my bills. I am hoping someone will give me a chance. Please.
Thank you for all your pray's and support though this time in my life.
